STOP HIDING, THERE'S HOPE! ™
A. Eliminating dairy products from your diet
For those with lactose intolerance, it is recommended to cut back severely on lactose containing foods (dairy products e.g. milk, cheese, yoghurt, ice cream, pastry, pizza, chocolate etc), and substitute dairy with non-dairy alternatives. It is also recommended that they take their calcium supplements in the form of calcium plus vitamin D tablets.
B. Other Causes of Rosy, Blotchy Skin
Rosy, blotchy skin appearance may be due to other causes, including sinus infections, photosensitivity caused by the use of colognes, deodorant soaps, or medications such as hydrochlorothiazide, sulfa drugs etc. It may also be associated with an underlying infection such as gall-bladder disease, urinary tract infection etc. You should always see your doctor if you suspect you may have any of the above conditions. Expect favorable results within 3-6 months.
C. Washing Instructions
(1) Wash with glycerin bar soap, or a cleanser which does not leave a oily or waxy film, which may clog pores. If you tend to have dry skin, wash face with water alone, and skip the soap or cleanser in the morning.
(2) Apply a small dab on towel-dried skin, and massage quickly, yet thoroughly, into skin until dry.
(3) Use water based, not oil-based, makeup on top of the dry Psoria-Gold® layer. If you have clogged pores, avoid heavy skin moisturizers and hair conditioners, as this can contribute to unwanted porous skin appearance. Baby shampoos are a good solution, as they neither strip the hair/skin of oils, nor do they add an overage of oils.
CAUTION: Avoid contact with eyes and mucous membranes. For external and cosmetic use only. Keep away from open flame. Not for use on open wounds. Replace cap to avoid drying of gel. Keep out of reach from children.
You may have unwanted redness on your cheeks, nose, forehead or chin. It may be associated with pustules or enlargement of the oil glands (sebaceous hyperplasia). If associated with dark rings around the eyes, thickened skin around the neck or axilla, and/or skin tags and/or multiple warty appearances on the trunk, the underlying problem may be lactose intolerance.
The lactose in the colon interferes with the colonic bacteria which usually resides in the colon to digest cellulose, which is not digested easily by most people. The dying bacteria generate stress proteins which incite an immune reaction. The inflammatory response results in secretion of cytokines, such as TNF-alpha, which cause sensitivity to the sun. This may result in unwanted redness of the skin in the sun-exposed areas, as well as unwanted rosy, blotchy, appearance of the skin.
