injured skin

Wound healing in adult skin, a complex process involving many cell types and processes almost invariably results in scar tissue formation and wound induration in adult skin. In very technical terms, scarring is associated with inflammation, surgical and heat wounds, and skin infections, resulting in the secretion of inflammatory cell stimulants, and growth factors. It is believed that the secretion of Transforming Growth Factor-Beta (TGFß), is predominantly responsible for scarring following injury such as heat wounds and surgical trauma. The result is an overproduction of skin and pigment cells , which then results in unwanted scarring, keloids, and hyperpigmentation.

We believe Psoria Gold® curcumin gel may aid in slowing down the production of the cell stimulants and growth factors which contribute to the unwanted appearance of injured skin. Psoria-Gold® does not replace your doctor's prescribed skin regimen.

RECOMMENDED PRODUCT: For the face, it is recommended that Psoria Gold® Sensitive Skin formula or Face ULTRA is used, along with your doctor’s skin regimen and therapies for injured skin.
